Bakersfield is a community full of warmth, strength, and resilience and also a community where many hardworking families simply cannot afford professional counseling when life gets hard. At Wellspring, we believe quality care should be available to everyone, regardless of financial limitations.
Wellspring Personal Development was founded in 2011 as an outreach of Wellspring Kingdom Enrichment, Inc., a California 501(c)3 faith-based nonprofit. Since the beginning, our heart has been simple: come alongside people with the care and support they need, regardless of where they are emotionally spiritually or financially.
We offer all counseling services on a household-income-based sliding scale. Many programs and groups are funded through donor scholarships or by Wellspring directly because healing should be accessible to everyone.
Our Approach
Our team of trained Biblical counselors draws on both the wisdom of Scripture and the findings of modern psychology to care for the whole person. We are not psychotherapists, but we are experienced, compassionate guides who take your healing seriously.
Whether you're navigating trauma, a broken marriage, the weight of addiction, or simply trying to discover who God made you to be, we are here, and we are for you.
